From 1985 - 2003 the Commission solicited a wide range of grant proposals in the areas of:

  • Environmental Protection and Conservation
  • Planning and Studies
  • Recreation
  • Research
  • Resource Management
  • Wilderness
  • Wildlife

through a grants application process.

In 2004  the Commission contracted for needs assessments in the areas of

  • Education and Interpretation
  • Recreation
  • Land Management
  • Conservation Biology

National Park Service:

  • Ross Lake Riparian Habitat Creation ($12,400)
